Wheat Weaving Workshop for Shavuot - Flyer

About

During the session, we will learn and apply weaving techniques to create handmade wheat braids. Wheat weaving is an ancient and multicultural practice that combines the material with the spiritual. The workshop will focus on the story of the weavings and on the practical action of rhythm and repetition, while developing a basic understanding of the weaving structure and its aesthetic potential. No prior experience is necessary. The facilitator, Shahar Saban, a graduate of the "Kulna" Academy for Traditional Crafts, is a multidisciplinary artist who works with knitting, embroidery, felting, and material.
